Madi Dias – History of a Feeling
I am late to Madi Dias party. First time listening to History of Feeling (which looks like it may be Madi Dais’s 4th album).
There is no messing around with words in any of these lyrics. To-the-point and precise. And beyond, being clear – the instructions are how we all wished we had handled that situation.
On the first listen the tracks all sound fresh and familiar – not repeated or sounding like anyone else, just a sense of comfort. I keep thinking of Karen Carpenter or Tracy Chapman and how easy they are to understand. Madi Dias shares that stage – in that I can understand all the lyrics (without having to look them up). All the tracks have a rich storytelling vibe.
Think of Me, and Crying in Public are stand out tracks on tracks. Forever reminds me of Jenny Wilson.
The MUNA Remix will be on heavy rotation.
